Recently under new ownership from February 1st 2013, The Pledwick has a brand new kitchen team, and new menu, alongside an experienced Manager and Front of House Team.

The Manager & Owner, has over 10 years experience in the Catering & Hospitality Trade, and over 6 years of Managing Restaurants of all sizes and clients. 

The Kitchen Team have over 10 years experience between them, and have backgrounds of International Foods, such as Tapas, & Italian, Fresh Fish Restaurants, and Homecooked Pub Food. 

Ideally located on the A61 Wakefield to Barnsley Road, The Pledwick Bar and Restaurant is just a two minute walk away from the Newmillerdam Country Park, providing the ideal stop off point for walkers and visitors to the area.

Completely refurbished over the last two years the Pledwick now offers diners in the Wakefield and surrounding areas a superb choice of daytime and evening meals. Business lunches, Romantic evening dinners or just a family night out, it’s all at the Pledwick.

Our huge outside dining area is complimented by discreet and safe children’s play area well away from the road. We can also offer superb bespoke packages for weddings, christenings & any parties!  Parking is no problem with a car park for over 150 cars on the premises.
